About the Role:

Hummel Croton, Inc. is looking for a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team in South Plainfield, NJ! This is a hands-on opportunity to keep critical industrial equipment running at peak performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures and execute timely repairs
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential breakdowns
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and related components
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order documentation

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English fluently
• Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Experience with welding, fabrication, or machining is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player
• Must Have 240v 3 phase electrical experience
• Light to medium Plumbing Experience
• Piping experience
• Basic construction 
• strong knowledge in Mechancial repairs
• Forklift/automotive knowledge
• Strong time management skills.
• Have own Tools
