Job Title: Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacist Specialty: Inpatient Duration: Permanent Shift: Full-Time Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM Experience: Clinical or hospital pharmacy experience preferred License: Kansas Pharmacist License or eligibility for licensure highly preferred Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program required Description: Join the dedicated and growing pharmacy team as an Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist. You will be at the forefront of patient care in a busy emergency department, supporting a high volume of emergency visits. You will provide direct pharmaceutical care, including medication selection, dosing, monitoring, and education. You will lead the development and implementation of emergency department-specific medication protocols and quality initiatives. You will participate in emergency response such as code blue, trauma, and stroke alerts. You will serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents, contributing to clinical education and practice. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes in urgent and emergent care scenarios. You will participate on medical staff and hospital-wide committees to support patient safety and care excellence.
